The 24 Virtues

Design: Nanki Nath (2009-2010)
Typeface: Monotype Corsiva

It was around June 2009, that I came across an interesting information about the 24 spokes in the Ashoka Chakra of India. The idea to symbolically depict the chakra and the 24 virtues instantly . There was a huge gap and one left the design incomplete. But, glad that one could finish the initial from in 2010. Though, a further fine-tuning in terms of letter-spaces is required. In future, I would like to explore each of the meanings in depth and come up with a comment on further conceptualisation behind the design. I am optimistic to recieve valuable comments and design criticism for the same.

Even if we all follow even one virtue or make an effort to abide by it, it would be a new beginning of THE NATION INDIA. That 'Nation India' that was the Mahatma's dream for us. Hope we remember this dream of his each day. And, in our efforts to achieve those, we also devise ways of sustainability of these efforts.
